Brackeys Game Jam 2026.1
I'm officially planning to take part in Brackeys Game Jam 2026.1.
This is a big step for me, because one of my main goals this year is to actually finish and submit at least one game jam project - and this is the perfect opportunity to commit.
Why This Jam
I want to improve by building under real constraints:
- Limited time
- A fixed theme
- Real submission deadline
- No room for endless overthinking
Brackeys jams are always full of creativity and energy, and I think being part of that environment will help me push through perfectionism and focus on shipping.
My Focus for 2026.1
For this jam, my goal isn't to build something huge - it's to build something complete.
I'm aiming to focus on:
- A small, clear core mechanic
- Solid moment-to-moment gameplay feel
- Clean scope management
- Actually finishing what I start
If I can submit on time with a polished small game, I'll count this as a win.
What I'll Share
I'll post updates here as I prepare and once the jam starts. After it's over, I also want to write a full reflection covering:
- What went well
- What went wrong
- What I'd change next time
- What I learned from the full process
I'm excited (and a little nervous) - Brackeys Game Jam, here I come.
